Transistion Week

My mom, dad, Tricia and Jeremy all left on Sunday. It was hard to have my mom leave after her 10 days of amazing help! To ease into things, Melissa stayed until Tuesday. It was nice to have her here for those couple of extra days. I was able to transition from my mom's tremendous help into knowing I'd soon be alone during the day. Don't get me wrong, Jason has been incredible...it is just hard for me to ask him to help during the night when I know he has to get up and go to work. Most nights however, he typically does get up when I am up to see if I need anything. He has been more than willing do help with things. He even doesn't hesitate when it is time to change Macayla's dirty diapers!

Wednesday was my first day by myself with Macayla. It went fantastic! Although it is hard when she does cry and it is hard to get her to stop...that doesn't happen very often at all. She truly is a wonderful baby. Her fussy time has more than not been in the late afternoon early evening. But my goodness she is a newborn, she is going to be fussy at times! :)

Today Macayla and I went on our first solo outing. Due to my c-section I was told I couldn't drive for a week and couldn't hold anything heavier than her. With all the help around, that wasn't difficult to abide by. So today was the first time I carried Macayla in the car seat and we went to Target. She fussed a little bit, but I gave her the nook for about 60 seconds and she fell asleep! :) Our Target run was a success!
