Busy Weeks!

I am sorry that I haven't put up any new posts lately. The end of the school year for me is very hectic. Here are a couple of pictures.

Macayla updates:

-100% walker

-100% off the bottle

-loves bubbles

-loves to color

-is a very busy girl

-loves to play with toilet paper

-knows whenever something isn't locked or shut and goes right for it!

-drops things in the toilet and fishes it out if we forget to shut the lid

-points to noses and eyes

-loves the computer and reaches up on the desk to move the mouse

-loves to Skype family members and friends

-gives "loves" and kisses

-gets excited watching the kids in the nieghborhood play outside

-loves books...brings them to us and climbs on our lap

-loves music and dances to it

I'm sure there are plenty of other things!

Fun in March

Gross I know, but when I caught her playing in the toilet I had to get a least 1 picture before cleaning her up! She is obsessed with toilets so we have to for sure keep the lid down and often times we keep the bathroom doors shut!


She also LOVES keyboards! Basically anything with buttons. She is almost tall enough to reach the buttons on the washer and dryer...she tries VERY hard to push those.

Over my spring break we went to the local zoo. Macayla had a so much fun looking at all the animals.

All weekend long, she wanted to climb Grandma & Grandpa's stairs over and over and over again!

Minocqua Birthday Party

Last weekend we went up to Minocqua to celebrate Macayla's 1st birthday with my side of the family. It was nice to have all of us together. The last time that happened was Christmas. It was a great weekend!

At 1 year's old Macayla:

• Is eating more and more table food
• Can easily drink out of a sippy cup, but is refusing to take any formula or milk out of it!
• Takes about 1 1/2 steps independently
• Walks while holding just one hand...although she looks like a "drunken sailor" while doing so!
• Is very sociable...goes to just about anyone
• Loves handing people things
• Says "duh" for dog, duck
• Says "buh" for bottle, bye
• Loves playing in the bath or pool
• When riding in the car tells mom ALL about her day...I just wish I could understand what she is saying!
• Climbs on EVERYTHING!
• I'm sure there are more things...but that is what I can remember for now :)

Green Bay Birthday

The weekend following Macayla's birthday we had a birthday party at our house. I loved getting the house decorated (okay so my friend Heather should get credit for the decorating!) and getting food prepared. I've waited 3 1/2 years to finally be able to use the serving platters we got for our wedding! Our apartment just wasn't big enough to "entertain". We are very lucky to have such wonderful family and close friends. The day was a success!
